We just received an order of Martingale & Company and That Patchwork Place books and they have a deal for us. The Rookery is a "Super Stitcher" shop and that is good news for you.

When you buy any That Patchwork Place or Martingale & Company book you will receive a Super Stitcher stamp card. Every time you buy another book by either company you will get your card stamped. When you fill your Super Stitcher card with nine "M" stamps, you mail the completed card to Martingale and they will send you a free book.

Come in and see the selection and start collecting your stamps.

There are some great new sock books....

Worldwide Knit in Public Day

Saturday, June 14 is Worldwide Knit in Public Day. Come to the Rookery between 2 p.m. and 5 p.m and knit with fellow fiber enthusiasts. You could bring any type of fiber project and enjoy the local company.

We will be having a sale as well. 10% off all knitting needles and crochet hooks.

World Wide Kit in Public Day was started in 2005 by Danielle Landes. It began as a way for knitters to come together and enjoy each other's company. Knitting is such a solitary act that it's easy to knit alone somewhere and sink into your work without thinking about all the other knitters out there. Neighbors could spend all their lives never knowing that the other knits. This is a specific day to get out of your house and come knit.

It's the largest knitter run event in the world. In 2005 there were about 25 local events around the world. In 2006 there were about 70 local events. 2007 there were almost 200. Check out their website www.wwkipday.com

BERROCO

I'm introducing a new line of yarn to the shop this week. We received an order of Berroco Yarn as well as some of the corresponding pattern books. This company has such a variety of yarns in a nice price range.

Bonsai, Linen Jeans, Lumina, Seduce, NaturLin are the yarns for the summer.

We also got a nice variety of pattern books for all these new goodies.

We also recived 6 colors of Berroco Sox. Its a self patterning yarn, not just self striping. They call them "engineered color patterns". Come check out the sample poster. One skein should knit one pair of socks. This is really cool stuff.

You're sure to find something you like.

Blue Sky Baby!!

Blue Sky Alpaca has been re-stocked and the colors are luscious.

We've got plenty of summer colors of the Dyed Cotton.

Check out the yummy Alpaca Silk.

We also have colors of their Cotton Fleece and Cotton Fine. These yarns are 80% cotton 20% wool and are great for summer clothing, baby items and socks.
